Fire up your event
My name is Phil Riehl and I live in Forest Grove, Oregon. After being the lead singer in a band, a live radio host, and playing music for multiple events including weddings, youth events and house parties, I decided turn my passion for music into a full time profession. "Vibes" is a term many people talk about these days. I define them as the feelings and energy being transferred between people. We never want bad vibes, only good vibes, so how do we ensure they're good? We act and speak with compassion and empathy, always seeking first to understand the other person. No commands, contempt or condescension, but courtesy, cooperation and consideration. When I DJ events, I am required to provide these good vibes when I arrive, set up gear and spin tunes. Special events can be times of joy and happiness but un-communicated high expectations can also cause turbulent emotions (especially wedding days when alcohol is involved), but it's my responsibility to read the room, set the tone and perform with precision. Since I am constantly focused on providing the best service possible, I'm always aware of what's going on, I go with the flow and make adjustments as needed.
I will always play exactly what the bride and groom want to hear on their big day. Playlists are communicated well in advance to ensure the day is as perfect as possible!
All ages music is necessary for under 18 crowds and I am well versed in explicit-free music for high school and college age parties.
Need music to supplement a video production? I've got you covered! Music videos, promo videos, ads and more!
If you're looking a DJ that can create a perfect environment with a carefully crafted playlist while not being a creep to a group of ladies, I'm your guy.
What better way to celebrate a birthday than an absolute fire dance party that will metaphorically burn the house down?
Everyone at your event will always be treated with respect and dignity, and I'll honor every request possible to make your party, wedding or conference the most memorable.

Harbinger VARI Live is an expandable, powered speaker system that evolves right along with your performance requirements. Transport, setup, configuration and real-time operations are simple, swift and intuitive. Whether you’re a solo artist looking to thrill an audience with an exquisite vocal and guitar sound, or a band desiring more impact and clarity to punch up your live shows, Harbinger VARI Live speakers deliver a wide frequency spectrum with exceptional detail and signal dispersion that can fill small, medium and large venues. The V3415’s onboard Class-D amplifier unleashes 400 watts of RMS power (2,000 watts peak power) through a 15″ XR low-frequency driver and a smooth and refined PEEK (polyetheretherketone) tweeter. However, the V3415 isn’t just a speaker. In fact, the VARI designation gives away its readiness for varied applications, as the V3415 includes a built-in mixer that can accept five simultaneous input sources, five selectable voicings (main speaker, monitor speaker, speech, enhanced bass and a custom mode), app control, Bluetooth playback and even a standard USB charge jack to power up applicable devices.

Massive groove attacks require a robust subwoofer that can produce low-end frequencies with enough power and headroom to rock the house without distortion, mud or flabby sound. The Harbinger VARI Live VS18—which, not surprisingly, seamlessly partners with Harbinger’s V2408, V2410, V3412 and V3415 speakers—can lower the boom, rock the bass and start a rumble on the dance floor with spectacular clarity and unbeatable impact.
The VS18 has a built-in Class-D amplifier that delivers 2,400 (peak) watts of clean power for a maximum SPL output of 134dB. That’s a lot of headroom, so the VS18 can deliver clean bass without audible distortion or other gig-terminating sonic gremlins. To help protect the speaker when the bass is really pumping, the VS18 has clip LEDs for each input to guard against raging signal levels, and front- and rear-mounted limiter LEDs that let you know when maximum volume has been attained.

It’s like making plans to build a house. Would you like a cozy cottage or a grand estate? Or something inbetween?
Some people want a DJ to arrive at their event, set up audio equipment and press the play button.
That’s easy. That’s cheap. That takes no thought, no effort, no imagination.
This option is something anyone can do. If your funds are low, and you’d prefer the background music to be on automatic pilot, go down to Best Buy, get a sound system and play some music. It’s faster, cheaper and easier than hiring someone.
Other people want a DJ that will:
It’s not a binary choice; you don’t have to pick one or the other. We can mix and match. We can customize.
Please understand that if my level of responsibility is high, I expect higher compensation.
The short answer is, anywhere from $500 – $2500.
Don’t take my word for it. Take a look a these top Google results:
If you’d like extras like lights, glow wands, songs at specific times, certain attire, or other accommodations, the price will increase.
Please understand that selecting the playlist, downloading the appropriate tracks and organizing them also takes time.

I live in Oregon and will happily travel a few hours from the Portland, OR area. Most people in this state know that it rains 9 months out of the year.
Water + electrical sound equipment = bad.
Additionally, barns, warehouses, sheds, and tents don’t provide much protection from the elements and the dust and dirt could damage my gear. For this reason, I would prefer to DJ indoor events, but if the weather is sunny with little chance of rain, I may consider outdoor events.
Putting down a deposit is a common and important part of many service agreements. It helps ensure that both you and the vendor are committed to the plans you’ve made together. For the vendor, it provides peace of mind and allows them to prepare for your event or project with confidence. For you, it secures their time and services for your big day or special occasion. Asking for half up front strikes a fair balance, showing mutual trust and accountability. Once the job is complete and you’re happy with the results, the remaining balance will be settled. It’s all about creating a smooth, worry-free experience for everyone involved!

I had an event that needed some DJing and working with DJ Snake Eyes was the best option in town! They were able to perform and put on an excellent show for my Brewery. I plan to continue working with them for all my upcoming events in the future!
